As a consultant I am skilled at establishing new client relationships by assessing the business challenge at hand, understanding the desired outcomes, and clarifying realistic means of getting there. I am adept at using business insights to inspire new ideas, explore and define growth opportunities, and communicate these through meaningful design expressions. Above all, I am committed to providing exceptional service to my clients by designing an economical, efficient, and educational approach to each engagement.

I am equally nimble in the role of leader, collaborator, or supporter across the entire innovation process, which I would describe as having three broad stages:

Discovery - surfacing insights : Where are you right now? Where do you want to be? How will you bridge the gap? Giving sufficient consideration to these questions before planning any kind of innovation effort will ensure that resources are invested in the appropriate places. The focus can be internally facing (understanding your business) and/or externally facing (understanding your customers) - I am adept at structuring and guiding these forms of human-centered explorations to frame your innovation portfolio around real "moments that matter".

Design - translating insights into concepts : How do you generate, develop, and evaluate ideas based on what you’ve discovered? How will this process be managed, utilizing either internal or external leadership? I can offer insights into both the designer side and client side of the innovation equation, and provide guidance accordingly.

Delivery - transforming concepts into offerings : How do you make any of this real? History will show that the world's most impactful innovations were the result of exceptional execution, not simply good ideation. I can help you produce meaningful outcomes through the application of design review techniques and coaching of internal innovation activists.
